THE MP TEAM
AHMAD ELBAYOUMI
Founder and President
Ahmad Elbayoumi is a Grade 10 student in the Pre-IB program and the President of FX Model Parliament for 2020-2021. Ahmad formerly served as a Legislative Page at Queen's Park, gaining a first hand experience of what it is like to be a member of Parliament each day. During his free time, he likes to read the news, play/watch soccer, volunteer at his local MPP's office and spend time with family! If not at Model Parliament, you can find him as a member of Student Council or as an exec. at FX Model United Nations.
CRISTIAN CASIERO
Vice-President
Cristian Casiero is a Grade 10 student in the Pre-IB program and Vice-President of FX Model Parliament for 2020-2021. Cristian joined FX Model Parliament seeking more fun and enriching debates! Cristian adds valuable experience to Model Parliament through his debate and public speaking skills and is ready to help you achieve those skills! During his free time, he loves to spend time with family, support the Raptors and watch soccer being a life long Juventus fan!
YOUSIF JORANI
Co-Director of Training
Yousif Jorani is a Grade 12 student as is the Co-Director of Training of FX Model Parliament for 2020-2021. Yousif joined the club during the last year to help gain more debating skills and find more friends with likewise political ideology. He has been an addition to the club, adding valuable opinions to debate and discussions. He came second during our 2019 presidential debates where he came up with a platform and showed very well during the Democratic primaries, placing second! A proud Iraqi citizen, Yousif is also taekwondo blackbelt and plans to become a dentist!
SONIA VAIDYA
Co-Director of Training
Sonia Vaidya is a Grade 10 Pre-IB student and the Co-Director of Training of FX Model Parliament for 2020-2021. Sonia joined the club during the last school year and was an addition to the club through her great writing and debating skills. Sonia has been dancing for almost 10 years and enjoys reading and spending time with family! If not at Model Parliament, you can find her as the Director of Communications at both FX Model United Nations and Debate Club as well as the Student Advisor on the Student Council!
Anmar alsibaie
Director of External Affairs
Anmar Alsibaie is a Grade 10 Pre-IB student and the Director of External Affairs of FX Model Parliament for 2020-2021, responsible for club outreach and social media platforms. On the side, he plays piano and guitar. His favorite musician is David Bowie. During his free time, Anmar enjoys photography! You can find his professional photography account (@anmar_photos) where he captures creative and very visual photos! He enjoys learning about all sides of an opinion and loves a good debate.
JACOB BUREK
Junior Executive
Jacob Burek is a Grade 10 Pre-IB student and the Junior Executive for FX Model Parliament. He has been a committed member since the club first started in November and has been an important addition to the club! Every meeting, he provides his insight on topics ranging from finance to education and more! He plays piano and dances! He loves playing soccer and video games with his friends! If not at Model Parliament, you can find him as a member of HOSA!
Hasan obaid
Junior Executive
Hasan Obaid is our Junior Executive for 2020-2021! He has been a committed member since the club started in November and a valuable addition to the club when it comes to bill writing! When our club first started, he wrote a bill pertaining to transportation in Ontario. This bill was later presented to Associate Minister of Transportation, Kinga Surma and the Transportation Minister, Caroline Mulroney. During his free time, Hasan loves to play sports, write, draw and exercise!
